Laura, I'm happy that my comments pleased you. I meant them sincerely.

However, I had a feeling that you would then go on to think, and I quote, I'm starting to feel a little worried that it's the best thing I'll ever do.

TPDoEQ is meaningful to me, is dear to me, is extraordinary (no pun) writing, in small part because I was predisposed to love the characters. And you can see that your Sherlock Holmes fics have also garnered a similarly rabid fangirl following. But you are no one-trick pony, nor a one-hit-wonder. Your writing, even the casual writing on your blog, outshines most of the stuff that passes for popular fiction these days. I'd put you right up there with Neil Gaiman, for your ability to make people care about your characters, and your ability to give literature a filmic quality.

That runs the gamut of your work, not just TPDoEQ.
