So last night Kevin and I met the Nefarious (tm) ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wens down at Moriarty's Pub in Philadelphia.
She wore a frock coat. I wore my trenchcoat and carried my Diogenes Club bag. We are leet geeks. ;)
Seriously, though, it was a lot of fun. We talked Holmes and history and Jeremy Brett and Holmes and BBC and my Silver Earring computer game and Holmes. The food was excellent (I had the Kilkenny strip steak, which I just loved) and we were all suitably amused by the fact that my dessert was called "Chocolate Confusion." I was expecting it to turn out to be kippered herring or an old boot or something, because that really would be confusing, now, wouldn't it? But it was chocolate cake. Kevin took a picture of us on the front steps of the restaurant, so there is photographic evidence of this small Sherlockian gathering.
I slept the whole way down and the whole way home, and went to bed as soon as we got in the door and slept for another eleven hours. I have been absolutely exhausted lately...my body seems to be trying to go back to night shift hours, which is mildly disturbing.
Must go make sure Renaissance costumes are ready for tonight. Kevin in velvet = squee.
