Talk about a pick-me-up.

shining_phoenix just posted a ficlet based on her LXG fic series. As I've mentioned previously, one of her characters -- Jared -- is Elizabeth Quatermain's great-grandson. In this ficlet, he's talking to another character, Hope, about his ancestors, and particularly about Elizabeth's diaries. (In other words, my fic.) I won't cut and paste everything, because I shouldn't wish to give away any of her wonderful series before she's ready, but I think she'll understand why I'm sharing this snippet, where Jared offers to let Hope read the diaries:

"I’d like that. I imagine a first hand account of life with the original League must be an interesting read."

"It really is. I seem to discover something new each time I read them. The diaries really do have a bit of everything- love, adventure, friendship and villains. Some of is quite intense."

I cried.

*huggles* I can't believe you liked it that much! I certainly don't think that it's my best work, but I wrote that particular ficlet simply because you mentioned that it's something you would be interested in seeing, so I'm really happy that you like it! Not to mention completely flattered that you think my series is good and that you would actually copy and paste a bit to your own LJ. ^_^ I couldn't ask for better publicity for it!
Hmm... Must go edit it, though. "Some of is..." Heh. *wanders off to do that*
