We're still trying to raise money down at the church to pay for the renovations to our century-old roof and steeple. Lots of interesting events have been planned, and one of them was placed in my so-called capable hands this evening.


It's to be a prom, or a ball, or however you care to describe a formal dance. For grownups. And I get to plan it all. It'll be next March, in the church gymnasium, and I get to set the date and choose the theme and hire the DJ and plan any refreshments and do the advertising and bla bla bla.

One hitch.

I've never been to a prom in my entire life.

In other words, I don't even know what happens at a prom, other than dancing and getting your picture taken and selecting a king and queen. I'm a bright, creative kind of girl, so I'm sure I can pull this off...somehow...but I could use a little help.
