Discovering the existence of the copycat seems to have awakened a muse that I thought went sleepytimes a year ago. And she's poking me. With sticks. And worse, with ideas.

I am ALL for you writing a new chapter, but I would caution you: only do it if YOU want to do it. If there's legitimately more story to be told. If you're jut doing it to silence this copy-cat, then it might not ring as true as the past chapters, if that makes sense. That said, if the muses are pokein' you, then they're POKIN' you. Nothing wrong with writing to shut them up.

I suppose what I could do, ultimately, is write the stuff that she's nudging me about and then have someone else read it before it gets posted, to make sure it's of the same quality.

I haven't read your fic only because you'd mentioned it being movie-verse, and I personally prefer the graphic novels. That being said, if it's a muse you enjoyed writing (and writing is something you do enjoy), then go for it.

My answer to the poll aside... What everyone else is saying is basically on the money. If all this talk about the fic is genuinely giving you a hankering to continue on your own motivations, then go for it. If it's out of semi-conscious guilt/obligation, or strictly because you're feeling territorial, then a hearty 'nay'.
