clez and I play on the Brutality game (they're in my icon), he said that they somehow brought to mind a short-lived '80s tv show about secretly married police partners who lived in adjoining apartments.
This bugged me so much, because I'd never heard of it before, that I finally went hunting. That boy has a memory for trivia like nobody I've ever known. The show was called MacGruder & Loud and sure enough, it's exactly as he described it.
