brief fyi

Was up late with Mom and Ravi and Kevin, sorting through pictures to make a photo display for the funeral. We laughed. We cried. I actually found pictures of myself I don't loathe.

Like mine, Mom and Ravi were paying for Pop's cell phone on our family plan. They've given his phone to Kevin now, so he has a cell number too. I don't know what it is, offhand, to be honest -- I just changed the setting in my phone so that it's under his name instead of Pop's. But yes, he was the last member of the family not to have his own cell, and now he does.

I keep forgetting to eat. Well, not forget exactly; more like food doesn't interest me, so I don't think about it. And then I wonder why I feel like I'm going to pass out. But I just had a nice big ham and cheese and veggie sandwich, so I'll be good for a while. I'm doing the best I can to stay fed and hydrated and rested -- I say that mostly for the benefit of the kids, who are wonderful little nags. ;)

Liza and George have written a beautiful song, which Liza's going to sing at the funeral. Mom asked me to go down to the church and put it in the bulletins as an insert, so people can see the words. Then I have to go get some pictures copied, get my hair cut, and see if I can find a new dress for Saturday. That's if I'm not exhausted by that point; the new dress is very very optional. For the viewing I'm going to wear some dark top, with my black pants -- the one I have on right now wouldn't be bad, really, if I wash it. In other words, I'm not going to be around this afternoon, although I'm reachable by cell, as usual.

Kevin's off today, so he's going to Sam's Club with Mom to help her carry stuff -- what, I don't know, but he called and offered to assist her with anything she needed and that's what she's asked him to do. I'll probably be on this evening, so to my RP gang, if you're going to be available....I'd really like to be someone else for a while.
