Ancestry.com took me back to the year 1255 last night, before I got too tired and had to go to bed. She picked up where I left off and, thanks to connecting lines with other people's established family trees, has just called to inform me that we're descended from Charlemagne.
Granted, so are about fifty million other people, but that was still kind of exciting.
