Victorian fashions

This is the photo manip I mentioned in an earlier entry. It's entirely based on the LXG role-playing game where I hang out with my kids, one of whom does not use LJ, so the post is being left public so they can all see it.
Okay, if you have seen The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and don't play our game, you're probably wondering who on earth these people are. These are the OC women from the game, and (even though a number of them are much happier in trousers than skirts) I've put them all into actual outfits from the late Victorian period. They were all shamelesslystolen borrowed from this excellent website, but rather than chase you over there, I'll explain who's wearing what. Because, well, I'm a little wordy sometimes.

The beauty on your left is Irish blademaster Aineen McIlroy (represented in the game by Miranda Otto and played by Ana, who lacks an LJ). Aineen is dressed in a white cotton bodice and matching skirt dating from 1898, featuring extensive soutache trim and 16 pearl buttons down the front of the bodice.
In the center we have gun-toting werewolf Drusilla Mason (Eliza Dushku, played by
vampyric_lycan). Dru, who normally dresses a lot like Tom Sawyer did in the film, is also modeling an outfit from 1898. The bodice of this wine-colored ensemble is trimmed with decorative silk detailing.
On the right is poisons expert Belladonna Fairburn (Eden Reigel, played by
violet_wine). Bella favors dark colors, so I put her into this 1880s bodice with built-in boning and a black skirt from the same period. The burgundy fabric complemented Bella's features rather nicely, I thought.

The left-hand model in this trio is Japanese swordswoman Yumiko Sakai (Noriko Sakai, played by
utopia_tears), who looks like she just belongs in that black dress. It's silk brocade with multicolored embroidery and dates from 1900.
Center here is supernatural bounty hunter Adriana Ramirez Covas (Patricia Velasquez, played by
leila_dessler). The bodice dates from 1885 and is made of silk, with a velvet collar and beading; the skirt is silk and dates from 1890.
On the far right is the youngest of all the League members, the herbalist Elizabeth Quatermain (Kate Beckinsale, played by yours truly). Beth, as Skinner and the children call her, is wearing a cream-colored ensemble dating from 1877. The fabric, according to the description, seems to be a linen and wool blend. Of all the outfits in the collection, this is the one I could most see myself wearing, so I gave it to my character.
