one of our requirements for a new house is a sizeable kitchen. it's an absolute must. we currently have a galley kitchen that's just part of the living/dining room and IT SUCKS. we keep our george foreman grill in its box and under the table. LOL. horrible. we keep pots on the stove, the wok in the oven, appliances on top of the cabinets, etc. etc. so i feel ya on the lack of space.
and yeah, you need a secret passage! you should build one in! :)
