Amusing incident at the post office.
Yesterday I trotted down there after work to mail off packages for
wens,
ladyrazorsharp,
violet_wine,
_revolutionary,
valerious013,
leila_dessler, and
carnage333. I had my handy new address book with me, which consists of a blue binder filled with DayRunner address pages. It took me almost twenty minutes to put everything together and address it and whatnot.
Guess what I forgot there?
And of course, I didn't realize I'd forgotten my address book until after the post office was closed (it was almost five when I left it). So this morning, before I came to work, Kevin drove me down there to see if it was still around.
Oh, it was still there. In a Priority Mail envelope. In the hands of my mailman, who was going to drop it off when he delivered our mail.
Here's the fun part: My name is nowhere on the address book! But the guy who took my packages knows me by sight, if not by name, and got my address from the return address label on my packages.
I LOVE living in a small town.
