Had a dinner-and-a-movie type date with a hot redhead this evening; yes, Kevin knows about it. ;) But seriously. We had dinner and did a bit of Christmas shopping, then went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

There. Are. No. Words.

This movie is epic. It's massive. It's amazing. It's flawless. The scenes, the battles, the performances, the music...everything.

Specific notations:

~ Mr. Tumnus = beyond adorable.
~ Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan was quite good.
~ The kids are perfect, and there's even a reasonable family resemblance between them.
~ The adult versions of the four kids are also exceedingly believable as, well, adult version of the kids.
~ Tilda Swinton IS the White Witch. No room for argument.

Bottom line: See it. Repeatedly.

Anyway, we just came home about ten minutes ago, and I was stunned and delighted to discover a (somewhat rambly) message on my answering machine from clez. I am SO sorry I missed that! Kevin got a kick out of the part where you said that "I didn't see you online at all today, shame on you!" I'll try to be home next time you get bored and decide to start making long-distance calls. ^_^

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen the movie twice now and I cried in both times. I got laughed at cause I would just start crying at random times because it was just so beautiful and this was the story that has devined me as a person almost more than anything else!!!

Oh, that's okay. :) Though I must admit, it took a second hearing to understand what you were saying. I wasn't prepared to hear an English accent, and it initially sounded like a prank call or something. Kevin looked so confused, and played it again, and my ear started picking out words.

Me: Oh, my lord, it's CLEZ!

I mean, I suppose it could have been Sethoz, but you were the far more likely culprit... ;)
