Well, surprise! Guess who's here at work? >.<
Much as I was looking forward to not coming in, the storm had the audacity to end at a decent hour, and the sun even came out and melted a bunch of the ice! I would have felt horribly guilty if I hadn't come. So here I am.
Made chili last night, and left the crock pot simmering all night so it got nice and thick. That's going to taste good at lunchtime.
Well, as my bulletins are done for Sunday, this means I can get a jump on the things I need to do for next week -- the newsletter, the Christmas Eve bulletins, and the Christmas Day bulletins. I told Kevin I'm seriously tempted to take the newsletter to Kinko's or Staples and let THEM make the five bazillion copies. I have so much to do for the holidays that I would frankly consider it worth the expense.
The week after Christmas is going to be weird. The day care is closed all that week, so no kids and no teachers. (Also no cook -- must bring my own food.) Pastor's son is coming in from Chicago, so he won't be around much. I'm quite literally going to have the whole building to myself. I may take advantage of the silence and lack of interruption to get some work done on my novel, which I've been neglecting.
To all my college-age friends, have a safe trip home.

Sounds like a good plan. I've put everything on hold 'til after I get back from Disney World.
I've seen that icon floating around for a couple years now, and I just love it so much. If you ever find out who made it, let me know. I want to tell them how awesome they are.
