getting my geek on
May. 6th, 2005 05:15 amI am now the proud owner of three antique maps of London.
I needed one. I bid on four on ebay, reasoning I could win at least one. I won three. They are:
~ A map of the vicinity of London (including Surrey and Essex), dated 1897
~ A map of the London rail system, with all the stations labeled, dated 1893
~ A two-page map of the entire city of London, with street names, dated 1888
And yes, I have found Baker Street.
I'm having copies of the two smaller maps made that I can make story notes on, but the two-page job I'm having blown up, because the writing is really, really tiny. Then I shall have the originals framed and hang them on the wall.
*glories in her map-ness*
