Heh. The snow is coming down now; the elementary school dismissed ten minutes ago. According to weather.com, it's "cloudy."

But elsewhere on the site it says this:

Needless to say, I'm glad Kevin is off today; I wish he were off tomorrow too. It's starting to stick to the ground now.

At least I know dinner tonight will be good. Mom gave us a frozen four-pound turkey breast, so Kevin's going to bake that this afternoon, and we'll have corn and green beans and mashed potatoes. Tomorrow I think I'll make beef stew in the crock pot; it'll keep until whenever he gets home.

Funny stuff.

Okay, probably not as funny to outsiders, but still.

We received a letter today from an unfamiliar name. I always regard these with some mild suspicion, so I opened it at once. The woman was writing to find out if our church has space available to rent to her...so she can start a day care.

I asked Margaret, the head of OUR day care, if this would be a problem. She laughed and laughed.

I should add, here, that our day care is not a recent thing. My church has had a day care for at least as long as I myself have been alive. If this woman had bothered to do even the smallest amount of homework on the churches she contacted, she would have known this.
