(Apologies to those of you who see this twice.)

This is quite possibly the most horrible thing I've heard of in a very long time. It was posted at [livejournal.com profile] help_each_other.

[livejournal.com profile] liltat2mama (whom I admit I don't know from a can of paint) recently lost her infant niece under very tragic circumstances. Baby Miranda's father shook her until she was unconscious, then put her back in her crib like she was sleeping. Her mother found her later and couldn't revive her. She died from bleeding in the brain as a result of the abuse. The family doesn't have the money to give Miranda a proper funeral and memorial, and are asking for help.

I realize a lot of you may be skeptical, especially after the recent debacle with [livejournal.com profile] city_glitter's false story about the burned cat, but this has been verified by a number of people and was showcased on various news reports, so it does appear to be genuine.

The original post about the traumatic event is here:

The post with the PayPal button for memorial funds (and comments from people who have investigated the matter and found it to be true) is here:

Another poor excuse for a man. A man shaking an infant is one of those things that makes you want to use a cattle prod on them, or perhaps hand them to a really big sumo wrestler to be picked up and shaken around violently for ten minutes straight just so they could get a little perspective. What are people thinking? Babies are small! And soft! And helpless! You. Do. Not. Shake. Them!

Really, the number of people I'd like to sic him on is really quite long. Too long for even he to catch up with all of them. What we need to do is clone him! Make a hundred or so and let them loose. Finally, a practical and ethical application of the cloning issue. *snerk*
