I was going to actually post the pictures rather than links to them, but it was WAY too big. The pictures are bigger than the earlier ones, too. So I just linked them, but I'm still using a cut-tag.

Okay. So I started a new neighborhood, Subreality, in which we can all be filthy rich and live in the finest style. Because this is a new neighborhood, it basically is a separate game from the first one for which I posted the pictures, which meant that I had to remake the family.

Then I made a family for Jess. She and her husband Heath are both redheads. Sarah is the bespectacled daughter; Jaclyn is in the red blouse; Kerri is the brunette. The imaginary boys are Adam (black hair), John (blond) and James (red hair). They're a fun-looking crowd.

I apparently neglected to upload the picture of the mansion I constructed for my own family, which is white and rectangular. But this is the pretty house that I made for Jess's family; I've since edited it just slightly so that there was room for a driveway, which means they now have a car, so when the kids miss the school bus they can still get to class.

My family:

Lyn wires up with espresso before school. Every family should have both a regular coffeemaker AND an espresso machine.

Instead of doing his own homework, Jerry reads to Raven. Such a good big brother!

The kids come home with glowing progress reports, and Kevin and I are thrilled. It would seem that I then chat with Claire and Kristie about lycanthropy while Kevin dispenses love advice to Jerry. (Or is Jerry giving his old man some pointers? I can't tell.)

Raven brings a friend home from school. I don't bother learning her name, but they go upstairs to play cops and robbers.

Claire unclogs the toilet. She has not abandoned art for plumbing, but it's a useful skill to learn.

Kristie chills after school with a private dance party. Apparently, she inherited that tendency from me.

Meanwhile, over at Jess's house:

The kids wonder how soon they can go to school instead of watching their parents smooch.

I've decided that Sarah and Adam must be very close in age, as well as being physically similar, because they don't get along. At all. Sarah tends to be the dominant one. Here, she gives him a noogie while Heath is on the phone, evidently oblivious. (He's calling to arrange maid service so Jess can be a lady of leisure.) I want to point out that the inharmonious relationship between Adam and Sarah was NOT my doing -- they only fight when neither one is the active character. I guess I just assigned them highly incompatible personalities.

With no domestic responsibilities claiming her attention, Jess tries her hand at painting.

Kerri relaxes with a book while listening to her dad play piano.

Fresh from a morning dip in the Jacuzzi, Jess (still in her purple bathing suit) serves up breakfast for her hungry brood.

Later, the kids have a lunch meeting to discuss their state-of-the-art alarm clocks. (Yes, that's what's pictured there.)

At dinnertime, Adam and Heath whip up some nice hot macaroni and cheese. Kerri, having come to the dinner table from the hot tub, helps clean up afterward.

The family decides to spend the evening up on the third floor. After all, why fork over your hard-earned Simoleons at the SimCity entertainment center when you have your own private bowling alley?

Unfortunately, Adam and Sarah get into another fight. It's pretty violent. But despite John and their friend Ricky rooting for Adam, Sarah emerges victorious.

The next day, Kevin and I come to welcome the newcomers to the neighborhood. Jess and I soak in the Jacuzzi and talk about how hard it is raising six kids. We are totally going to be BFFs.

You. Win. Constantly.

Is that a crystal floating above my head when I play? Does that mean I get superpowers? :D *excited*

*laughs* Sorry, no. That thing is called a plumbob. Basically, it just indicates which of the family member I'm actively playing at the moment, and the color of the plumbob shows what sort of state they're in. A green plumbob is happy and healthy; a yellow one indicates a need of some sort (hungry, tired, etc.); a red one means serious danger of having something bad happen, like a bathroom accident. A white one means excessive happiness, and usually appears when the Sim falls in love or something like that.

D'aawww. And I got so excited too. I love the expression on the Sim!friend's face as Sim!me shoots her, and I love what you did with the entire thing. :D

Which is not to say your Sims can't get super powers. You just have to know where they're hidden.... >:D

That's true, seeing as how in YOUR game, Arielle is a superhero and flies to work!

Btw, go see the video. It's my first one, I'm so proud. ;)
