After I left Mom's, having laughed myself sick with her about something on MySpace (looooong story), I went over to the next town. One of the video stores there has given up on trying to compete with Blockbuster, and is closing up shop and selling off all their stuff, so I went to see what I could get myself. I was actually there on Sunday, but had to leave without purchasing anything because the line was long and I would have been late for youth group.

For the church, I found The Gospel of John and Saint Peter. For [livejournal.com profile] siddyq, I grabbed the lone remaining copy of Serenity, and for my own collection I got Quills and Dangerous Beauty. I also bought a candy bar and a secret surprise for [livejournal.com profile] destinedtofly, since none of the movies I had promised to try to find for her were there anymore. I have a feeling she'll like this better anyway.

Then I left the store and found that it was snowing like a freaking blizzard. This officially canceled any plans I had to participate in tonight's Bible study; I was going to bring dessert, because it's the choir's turn to provide the meal, but between the weather and Aunt Dorothy and my goddaughter needing me I was just not having it. I'm making chicken noodle soup next week for the Sunday School teachers' turn and that's it.

Besides, the snow is giving me a headache.

First of all, I'm sorry about your Aunt Dorothy. xoxox I know you said not to worry, but my condolences go out also to your Aunt Bonnie and the other members of the family who were closer to her and may feel the loss more keenly. That came out wrong, not to say you have not suffered another loss, but hopefully you know what I'm clumsily trying to say. oxoxo

I'm glad you decided not to brave the blizzard. I've seen pics of the snow up there, and it's pretty daunting!

...have you seen Quills already? *shifts around, uncomfortably* It's really all about censorship, y'know, but it's also pretty, um, hard-to-watch in places. I love Geoffrey Rush for taking risks, and being both a captivating and repulsive Marquis de Sade, and of course how can you not love Kate Winslet. She just rocks. But she sure gets nekkid a lot. LOL xoxoxo

I haven't seen it, but I have seen caps of it, so I have some idea of what to expect.

And yes, I know what you're trying to say. I appreciate it. :)
