As a married person who has no kids, I don't feel that I'm necessarily pressured to have any (good thing too, all things considered). What I tend to experience is dealing with a lot of people who assume that I either have them already or intend to have them in the near future. That forms a different kind of pressure entirely, and sometimes makes the conversation awkward when the assumptions are refuted.
